It was with these hopeful, excited words that the chair of the Euzkadi Buru Batzar, Andoni Ortuzar, began his speech at Aberri Eguna by announcing that the EBB had this morning nominated Iñigo Urkullu as the party’s candidate for Premier in the 2016 Basque election. Mr. Urkullu has accepted the nomination, which must now obtain the backing of grassroots party members.
