On the 40th anniversary of the proclamation of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), the Basque National Party has joined in the celebrations to show once again its firm commitment to the Sahrawi people and their legitimate claims. “There have been 40 years of peaceful struggle and resistance. 40 years of unlawful occupation and repression by Morocco, preventing this people from exercising their right to self-determination”, stated EAJ PNV parliamentarian Jone Berriozabal, who also reminded her audience that the UN recognises that right.
