Sabino Arana Awards 2015
In his opening speech, the president of the Sabino Arana Fundazioa, Juan Mª Atutxa, noted that there are now 148 people, organisations and projects that have been honoured over the past 27 editions. Commitment, values and merits, which according to Atutxa “help to reinforce one‘s hope that it is indeed possible to see a better world and a better Euskadi-The Basque Country”.

The Foundation’s president also listed the merits and qualities of the prize-winners in this 27th edition, such as commitment, trust in people, an enterprising spirit, support for the country’s own cultural model, and the ability to represent an entire people on the international stage and make it proud.
