Andorra welcomes the 33rd Plenary Council of the CTP

As every year, representatives from the eight regions of the CTP signed the Joint Declaration of Presidents at a ceremony at which Aquitaine took over the presidency of the Consortium

On October 29, the 33rd Plenary Council of the Working Community of the Pyrenees (CTP) was held at the Congress Centre in Andorra la Vella. As every year, representatives from the eight regions of the CTP took stock of the importance of cross-border cooperation and the work of the institution at a ceremony at which Aquitaine took over the presidency of the Consortium.

After two years at the head of the organisation, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Andorra, Gilbert Saboya Sunyé, passed the baton to the President of the Regional Council of Aquitaine, Alain Rousset, the new President of the Working Community of the Pyrenees until 2017.

The Plenary Council was attended by representatives of the eight regions: Gilbert Saboya, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Andorra and Chairman of the Andorran Cross-border Cooperation Agency; Alain Rousset, President of the Regional Council of Aquitaine; Francisco Javier Lambán, President of the Government of Aragon; Roger Albinyana Siagi, Secretary of Foreign Affairs and the EU of the Government of Catalunya; Iñigo Urkullu, President of the Basque Government; Suzanne Delieux, Regional Councillor of Langedoc-Roussillon; Marc Carballido, Vice-President of the Regional Council of Midi-Pyrénées; and Uxue Barkos, President of Navarre.
