With a plot that mixes different genres, Loreak now continues its successful year with selection by the Spanish Film Academy to compete as a candidate at the 88th edition of the Oscars in the category of Best Foreign Language Film and thus become the first film in Basque at the Oscars, after having also been the first film in the Basque language to compete for Best Film Award at the Goya Awards.
