Basque national side beats Peru
The Basque national football team ran up a convincing 6-0 victory against Peru in a friendly match. The Basques clearly outplayed a Peruvian side trained by provisional coach Roberto Mosquera which was missing its star players

Without Pizarro, Guerrero, Vargas and Farfán, the South American team was no match for the Basques, whose bursts of fine football and goals were cheered on by a somewhat smaller crowd than on previous occasions, in a festive atmosphere in which no trouble was recorded.
