Urkullu added that “the Basque National Party is not going to look backwards. Because Patxi López’s government has, thankfully, now begun to be a thing of the past. The Basque National Party is going to look forwards. That is what Basque society wants. Society is calling for a new Government. A Government that governs. A Government that focuses on overcome the current economic turmoil. A Government with discipline and rigour in public management”

“A Government with a project for the Basque Country. That does not spend over its possibilities.  A Government that guarantees the basic public services. Not only by words, but also by facts, by decisions. A Government that stimulates the economic activity. A Government that overlooks the differences in its search for political cooperation and agreement among the institutions. Not only by words, but also by facts, by decisions. We urgently need a Government that believes in this Country. That believes in the Basque Country. A Government that is a driving force. That generates confidence again. A capable Government. That is flexible. That knows how to be frugal yet efficient when taking decisions. A Government with a project, a programme and a model for the Basque Country.
