Izaskun Bilbao in Strasbourg calls on ETA to disband and for greater consensus to achieve greater European support for the peace process

The EAJ-PNV Euro-MP, Izaskun Bilbao, has argued in Strasbourg that "ETA must disband and more consensus is needed between the parties when tackling the process to lead to the end of violence once and for all" for greater supporter for the peace process in Europe.

Bilbao made these statements during the event to showcase the endorsement by 23 Euro-MPs of the Aiete Declaration of 17 October 2011.

The Basque national Euro-MP insisted that agreement between Basques will help to specify the type of support that can be sought from European institutions and pointed out that a Basque version of the "Peace Programme" could be "very helpful".
