“4th Bilbao Dialogues” come to an end

The representatives of the European Democratic Party (PDE-EDP) and of the Latin American Demo-Christian parties, who took part in the 4th Bilbao Dialogues, organised by Sabino Arana Fundazioa and the PDE, on 26 and 27 September, brought the seminar to an end and agreed that “only a world development model can guarantee a way out of the economic crisis”.

The EAJ-BNP EBB Chairman, Iñigo Urkullu, who attended the closing ceremony, personally greeted the speakers who had considered the different challenges and testing conditions facing their different countries.  The political representatives and experts at the event included Gutenberg Martínez, Vice-Chancellor of the  Miguel de Cervantes University (Chile),former speaker of the Chilean Parliament, leader of the Chilean Christian Democrat Party (PDC)  and President of the ODCA; Gonzalo Arenas, international secretary of the Chilean PDC and  Sebastián Acha, a national member of parliament and leader of Patria Querida (Paraguay); the Consul General of Mexico in Shanghái, Rolando García; Óscar Álvarez, lecturer at the School of International Relations at the National University of  Costa Rica; Antonio Carámbula, General Manager of the Ministry of Tourism (Uruguay); Clenia Leal Maranhao, researcher of the situation in Brazil and consultant on the democratic management of cities; Osvaldo Artaza, former Minister for Public Health (Chile); Lourdes Flores, leader of the Christian Popular Party of Peru; and José Luis Larrea, CEO of Ibermática.
